Charleston, the capital city of
West Virginia, is nestled in the rolling Blue Ridge Mountain Range.
The mountains not only create breathtaking views, but also fantastic
whitewater.
But don't let the tranquil atmosphere
of Charleston fool you. Charleston has everything your adventure weekend is looking for: luxury accommodations, fine dining, nightlife,
and top-notch whitewater.
As for the rafting, the Lower New
River flows through a rugged 1,300 ft. canyon exposing rocks as
old as 330 million years-old. Squeezing down between rugged mountains,
the river alternates from Class III-V rapids to pools perfect for
swimming. Miller's Folly and Double Z are among the many rapids
that lie in waiting for the incoming rafters.
